Committee Introduction

The BBS-AS Committee meets in person twice a year at the Indoor and Outdoor Championships. The day to day running of the section is conducted between the officers of the committee.

The Committee consists of:

Executive Officers are elected for 3 years and Committee Members for 2 years.

Carol Davies
Carol is an archer with a B2 sight classification who discovered archery when she became a member of Blind Veterans UK. She joined the British Blind Sport Archery Section committee in 2015 as Secretary. Carol wants to help heighten the profile of visually impaired archery and wants to attract more people of all ages to the sport.

Roger Rees-Evans
Roger is an archer with a B1 sight classification who has been shooting since 1979. He is a founding member of BBS Archery Section and was the first Chairman from 1985 till 1997.

Robin Hall (Non-VI)
Robin has organised our National Outdoor and Indoor Championships since 1999 (Outdoor) and 2001 (Indoor). He is an Archery GB Senior Coach.

Sue Mangan (Non-VI)
Sue has been an archer since 2007. She is an Archery GB County Coach who has been working with visually impaired archers since 2014 as both a coach and a spotter.

Carmel Bassett
Carmel is an archer with a B3 sight classification and started archery at a "have a go weekend" at Blind Veterans UK in 2008. In 2015 Carmel represented Team GB at the Para World Archery Champs in Germany. She would love the next generation of VI archers to take up the mantle and carry on the development of the sport.

Kimberley Heal
Kimberley is an archer with a B3 sight classification. She discovered VI archery in 2016 and was elected as a committee member in 2018.

Graham Rees-Evans (Non-VI)
Graham has been brought up with VI Archery and has for a number of years attended the National Championships. In recent years he has compiled the championship results.

Malcolm Higman (Non-VI)
Malcolm is an Archery GB County Coach who has been working with VI archers since 2003 as both a coach and a spotter. Malcolm also makes the adaptations to the tripods used by many VI archers.
